After becoming President of Ford Motor Company, Edsel Ford focused on the styling of Fords and Lincolns, in contrast to his father who focused on practicality. The \u201cK\u201d chassis was designed by Eugene Gregorie, who used his previous experience as a yacht designer to influence the styling of the body. Gregorie incorporated an integrated grill and head lamps to create a flowing design through the car.
