One hundred years ago, Ford Motor Company purchased struggling luxury automaker\u00a0Lincoln<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Motor Company. The $8 million deal saved\u00a0Lincoln<\/span><\/span>\u00a0from closing, and it expanded Ford’s lineup beyond the economical Model T. Over the next 20 years, Edsel Ford guided\u00a0Lincoln<\/span><\/span> Motor Company with a simple but highly personal vision: “Father made the most popular car in the world. I would like to make the best car in the world.” To mark the centennial, Matt Anderson, Curator of Transportation at The Henry Ford<\/a> will take a look at significant photos, documents, and automobiles from Lincoln’<\/span><\/span>s first decades.<\/span><\/p>\n
