Bauer<\/a>, Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame, joins us to take our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studebakermuseum.org\/exhibition\/charged-electric-vehicles\/\">electric car exhibition<\/a> into the 21st century.\u00a0 This presentation discusses current and future trends in electrical transportation, with a particular focus on battery-powered electric vehicles. The industry is currently undergoing a revolution not seen since the end of the 19th century.<\/p>\n<p>There are essentially three areas that will forever change the vehicular transportation landscape: Electrification, autonomy, and connectivity. It is the junction of these three areas that will drastically change the way how we will use vehicles, especially electric vehicles, in the future.\u00a0 This talk will show that there is still a lot of room for improvement when it comes to EV range, efficiency, and sustainability in general, but the good news is that we are now developing the necessary tools and we are\u00a0 well on the way to achieve the goal of sustainable transportation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>ABOUT SPEAKER SERIES<\/h3>\n<p><em>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.studebakermuseum.org\/archives-and-education\/speaker-series\/\">Studebaker Museum Speaker Series<\/a>, presented by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.studebakermuseum.org\/support\/endowment\/\">Campisi Family Education Fund<\/a>, is held in the Wiekamp Auditorium.
