Take a whirlwind journey through the history of the Studebaker Proving Ground, from its origins as a critical part of Studebaker\u2019s automotive development process to the facility\u2019s evolution after Studebaker\u2019s departure. Studebaker National Museum Archivist Andy Beckman will highlight some of the most fascinating moments in the Proving Ground history, including the vehicles, testing, people, and innovations that made the facility an important part of Studebaker\u2019s story.<\/p>\n
Following Andy\u2019s historical look, Austin Bourdon, Engineering Manager at the International Proving Grounds, will bring the story into the present, discussing International\u2019s ownership of the facility, upgrades and improvements made over the years, and how the Proving Grounds are used today.<\/p>\n
Together, the presentations offer a unique look at the Proving Ground for its 100 anniversary\u2014from Studebaker\u2019s build up of the facility to its use as a modern engineering and testing facility.<\/p>\n
